I think what really bugged me and is continuing to bug me is the notion that because many christians believe we aren't being treated fairly, or accepted or heard or whatever, then we are allowed to respond with intolerance, with anger, with noise... The idea of turning the other cheek, does not apply.
I have always thought of Jesus as the most tolerant person in history. In other words, God is just so very tolerant... maybe we hate this about him?
Over the next few posts I'd like to jump into the deep end of this topic. I know it might social media suicide, but I hope you come along for the ride. In a world in which post-christianity is emerging and in a world that our students are being shaped and influenced by, how should we as parents, youth workers, and christians respond?
